I savored the “Mojhettes” and “Cagouilles,” both unique to the region, alongside fresh oysters from Marennes-Oléron. The cozy restaurant, with its ambiance echoing the colorful Saint-Leu district, set the stage for a good dinner. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring artisanal bread and fresh produce from their vegetable garden and chicken coop. This connection to nature was refreshing. I even squeezed in a wine tasting session with local growers, which added another layer to my experience. Nestled in a scenic park, the Auberge offers a perfect escape for food enthusiasts, making it an ideal spot for gourmets like us seeking new flavors in a serene setting.
